Regular replacement of the grinding burrs helps maintain stable grinding, consistent particle size, and proper water flow during coffee preparation. It is recommended to replace the burrs after approximately 10,000 servings of coffee, which is about 3–5 years in a home setting, depending on usage.
The grinding stones may develop so-called oxidation spots caused by exposure to air after the manufacturing process is complete and the product has cooled. This is a normal occurrence and does not affect the functionality of the stones, nor does it indicate the use of inferior materials.
