In the heart of Kenya, in the Nyeri region, one of Africa's most renowned coffees - Kariru- is produced. This region is renowned for its ideal growing conditions: rich volcanic soil, high altitude and a cooler climate that helps the coffee cherries to ripen slowly.
The coffee is grown here by farmers associated with the Rutuma A. Farmer Cooperative Society, who continue a long tradition of hand cultivation and processing. The beans of the SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties are carefully washed and sun-dried after harvesting to preserve their natural purity and freshness.
A lively fruity acidity develops in the cup, complemented by sweet notes of redcurrant, lime and orange peel. The coffee has a medium body and a beautifully balanced character that will delight all lovers of filtered brewing. An ideal choice for those who appreciate the purity, clarity and juiciness of genuine Kenyan coffee.
