Nordbeans roastery first tasted coffee from Finca Tamana before the roastery was even established. Farmer Elias Roa Parra is one of the most prominent growers of fine coffee in the Huila region. He has a long-standing partnership with Tim Wendelboe, for example, who you will also know well. They therefore took the opportunity to purchase a microlot from a consulting project by their friend Rodolfo Ruffatti Batlle, who collaborated with Elias on processing methods during the last harvest. Their microlot, from the popular Colombia variety, was fermented 'dry' for 24 hours after harvestingand then washed. The production of such microlots is also possible because Elias is a member of the Coocentral cooperative, which owns a specialised 'micromill' - a small coffee processing machine. In the taste, they are attracted by the clean notes of citrus and spices. The coffee also has a great aroma.
